Thanks Margot! :) I hear from many quarters that SAP is doing great here, but I must admit I do not have any insights into the options in the SAP world. :( But yes, I agree with you, homegrown solutions would have to do for the moment. :)

Thank you for the great inputs and expanding the knowledge base! I now don't have to create my own 101 on the models. ;)

IMHO, the SEI-CMM is very much apt for the internal processes of an organization and thus best for the business folks in the org, where as the PS model parallels a SDLC (software development lifecycle) and thus best for the techies in the org.

As you said, choose the best model for the job. And yes, I will be more than happy to collaborate on this! :)
